The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County empowers first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities to thrive academically and personally as they work toward earning their bachelor’s degree. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, SSS provides holistic, individualized support including academic coaching, tutoring, financial literacy, graduate school preparation, and a strong sense of community.
At UMBC, SSS is part of the Office of Academic Opportunity Programs (AOP) and works collaboratively with campus partners to ensure every student has the tools, confidence, and connections to achieve their goals—from their first year through graduation and beyond.
Together, we’re building pathways to success—because at UMBC, opportunity starts here.
